HUMPHREYS CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER. {BY TELEGIIAfH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Magistrate's Court to-day is taking evidence on the charge of manslaughter against C. A. Humphreys, by the accident to whose motor-car on 13th October Captain Payitt was killed. The .charge is negligence and improper driving, and the evidence so far favours the allegation that Humphreys was drunk.
