LABOUR M.P.S TOUR.

\ MR. WILL CROOKS'S COLONIAL VISIT. [from our own correspondent.] LONDON, 27th August. Mr. Will Crooks, M.P., accompanied by his wife, will leave England on the 10th prox. for a tour round the colonies. This is the first occasion on which a working man Member of Parliament has undertaken a tour of the Empire. He will travel by way of Canada. In Quebec he will be the guest of the Hon. C- R. Devlin, Minister of the Colonios (who sat at Westminster as Nationalist' M.P. for Galway between 1903 and 1906), and he will attend the Canadian Trade Unions' Congress then taking place in that city. Two days will be devoted to Montreal, and then Ottawa will be reached. September 26th will find Mr. Crooks "doing" Niagara. He will next make' for Toronto, go through Ontario to Winnipeg, and see something of the groat North-West. Mr. and Mrs. Crooks will, after their busy tour of Canadian cities, have a few days rest in the Rocky Mountains , but they are timed to arrive at Vancouver on sth October. They will only be able to give one day to Victoria, and then will sail in one of the Canadian Pacific Railway steamers for Sydney. On the way to Australia they will visit Honolulu and Fiji, arriving in Sydney early in November. Here a^ain Mr.', Crooks will have a hustling time, as he will visit all the great cities in Australia, the tropical regions of Queensland, and go through New Zealand and Tasmania. He will spend Christmas with relatives in Sydney, and will sail from Fremantle on the Homeward voyage by the Orient line, going ashore for a stay at Ceylon, and coming back through the Suez Canal and the Straits of Gibraltar. He is not due in London until February. It is estimated that from 5400 to £500 per annum will be made by the corporation in fees levied for destruction of trade refuse and garbage under the new scale which came into operation last Friday.
