PETONE TENNIS CLUB.
At the annual meeting of the Petone Tennis Club, held last evening, the annual report (previously published in The Post) and tho balance-sheet, showing a credit of £1, were read and adopted. < Mr. 0. V. Ellis presided over a small attendance of members. Officers for the coming season were elected as follow : President, Mr. E. C. Kirk ; vice-presidents, Drs. Ross and Perry, Messrs. J. Home and F. Wilkinson ; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. J. Cornell ; assistant secretary, Mr. F. Austin; auditor, Mr. O. V. Ellis; management committee, Messrs. Ellis, Duncan, Parkinson, Cornell, and Austin ; delegate to Wellington Tennis Association, Mr. F. J. Cornell ; refreshments committee, Missas Penny and Home. Eight new members were proposed, while four resignations were accepted. The prospects for the coming season appear to be very bright.
