Joel's i colt, won the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown Park, the crowd received his victory with a savage outburst of hoots and groans. In the following race was running a horse owned by R. S. S. Sievier (who is charged with using threats towards Joel in order to extort money), and it was vociferously cheered.
