After the inter-provincial game at Miramar under Australian rules, on Saturday afternoon, the Canterbury representatives were entertained by the local association at a smoke "social" in the New Century Hall, Kent-terrace. Emergencies : Burns (Wellington), Breese, and Welch (Auckland), and Smith (Christchurch). The Canterbury team, which was managed by Mr. H. Witcher, returned south on Saturday evening.
