ARAWATTA-INGEBORG COLLISION.
THE COURT'S FINDING.
By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received December 21, 9.55 < a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. In connection with the Arawatta-In-geborg collision, the court found in favour of the Ingeborg, with costs against the Arawatta, and referred all questions in regard to damages to tho Registrar. The vessels collided on the 14th August off Port Stephens. A Court of Marine Enquiry found that the regulation lights were exhibited on the Ingeborg, and that tho collision occurred 'through a proper lookout not being kept on the Arawatta, for which the second mate was found in default. The court was also of opinion that the Ingeborg contributed to the collision by failing to take the action prescribed in the regulations for preventing collisions at sea when a collision seemed inevitable. The owners of tho Ingeborg then commenced an action against the owners of the Arawatta, claiming compensation.
