Tide*.— High on east coast north of Tauranga; poor on west coast ol both Islands; moderate Jill other port*. Rain i* probable northward of Thames and Raglan. Warning signal for easterly gale is exhibited at Cape Maria Van Piemen and Tirltiri, and will be shown at East Cape after sunrise. STNOFBIS O* LAST 24 HOURS. Rising barometer everywhere, especially In the southernmost districts, where it has moved up nearly .50. There has been n southerly gale at Kaikouro, but moderate to strong southerly wind* hare been experienced elsrwliere, and generally with line weather.
