HUSBANDS AT A PREMIUM.
'Recently published statistics show that in tho Swiss canton of Glarus there arc Ihreo women to each of tho 1200 marriageable men in tho district. Seven hundred of the men are married, and 113 husbands aro still in their teens. Three youths of ninotecn aro widow ere, and two of tho saino age aic divorced. Ono young man of 25 divorced two wives within threo yearn, and is opgaged to bo married for the third time. Another youth of 22 has boon married twice, and is now a widower.
