There will be ar other excursion to Day s Bay to-morrow evening, when the water chute will be again in full swing The s.a. Duchess leaves tho Ferry Wharf at 7.45 p.m., returning from the bay at 10 o clock. Full particulars appear in another column. / The Union Company's steamer Mararoa is to sail for Lyttelton to-morrow night, carrying passengers at specially reduced rates, tho tickets being available for return from Lyttelton up to the 2nd March. The time for booking has been extended until noon to-mor-row. Another excursion will bo run by tho Mararoa or other steamer, leaving Wellington on Wednesday next, the tickets on this occasion being available for return up to this 7th ot March. There was a goodly muster of members at the Victoria Bowling Club' 6 pavilion last night, when a "smoker" wus held by wuy of M-elcome to Mr. J. Brackenridge, senr., and othor members of the club who acquitted themselves with credit at the tournament of the Now Ze»land Bowling Assooiation, held recently in Christ church. Members of the Wellington Navals nre reminded by advertisement that bhooting matches will 'bo resumed next Saturday at Mimmnr ratine.
