At the Magistrate's Court to-day, George Patters- -a, aged sixteen years, and William Patterson, aged eighteen yoara, pleaded guilty, the former to a charge of thoft, and the latter of receipt of stolen property, consisting of gold and diamond rings to tho value of £100, tho property of their employor. They were romanded to tho Supremo Court for sentence.
It is understood that the .recommendation of tho Wellington Acclimatisation Society that tho dcer-stalkiug season should commence on 28th March and end on 15th May. will be given effect to. The society has also recommended that tho license foo should, bo 4Oi, 1 j-di to.be. limpid to four aur pjurtr-teasmu.
