MR. SEDDON IN AUSTRALIA.
» •DEPARTURE PROM MELBOURNE. [PRE« ASSOCIATION."* MELBOURNE, Bth June. Mr. Seddon visited the Federal Parliament to-day. On the motion of Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Reid, the New Zealand Premier was given a seat on the floor of the House. He met with a great reception from all parts of tlhe House. Mt. Reid, in seconding Mr. Deakin's proposal, 6aid Mr. Seddon had every reaBon to be satisfied with the warm welcome from men of all shades of political opinion. Mr. Seddon afterwards lunched with the Labour party. . A number of towns, including Perth and Coolgardie, have invited Mr. Seddon to pay visits, but the shortness of time afe his disposal prevents him doing so. He left ■ this afternoon by the express for Sydney, whence he sails for Auckland on Saturday night. (Received June 9, 9.39 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Speaking at the Labour party's luncheon yesterday, Mr. Seddon advised them to trust their leader and judge him by results. They should deal with trusts and combines and promote settlement.
