Emir and Sweet Nell covered a mile and a half in 2inin 45sec Sylvanite and F.J.A. ran ten furlongs in 2min IBsec, and Demas registered s similar task. Gladsome went eleven furlongs in 2min 35sec, Tartan a similar distance in 2min 30£ sec, Sojourner twe miles in 3min 46sec, Sport Royal two miles in 3min 48sec, St. Ambrose a mil* lin 2min 45isec, Marmont and Falkirk 1 thirteen furlpngs in 2min 59sec, and I Merrion and Mario a mile and a half 'in 2min Msec. Wairiki did useful work,, There is no change in the Cup betting. For the Derby, 2 to 1 is offerea) against Sylvauite and 3 to 1 against Demas.
