LPRESB ASSOCIATION.] (Received October 22, 9 a.m.) RETURN OF A SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION. BRISBANE, This Day. The Daniel's expedition, which went to British New Guinea in November last under the auspices of the Royal Society, has returned. The ethnological work was in charge of Mr. Daniels, and Dr. Seligmann represented the Cancer Commission to investigate pathological Specimens. A COALING DIFFICULTY. PERTH, 21st October. Friction has arisen with, the Coal Lumpers' Union at Geraldton, the chief port in the north, owing to the flagship using blue-jackets to coal the vessel.
