Wind.-Strong: to gale alter a> noure irum, between north-east and north and west at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Raglan and from between north and west and south- west thence to Napier, and after 'from 12 to 20 hours from between north-east ana north and west elsewhere. Barometer.— Fall everywhere. Sea. Heavy on all western coast and at Osme Campbell. Model ate elsewhere. Tides.— High on all western coast and at Cape Campbell; good on east coast northward of East Cape and southward of Lyttelton. Moderate all other ports. Rain is to be expected generally. Warning Bignals for northerly gales are exhibited at Capo Foulwind, Farewell Spit, and Nugget Point, and will be shown after sunrise at Cape Maria Van Diemen, Tiritiri, and East Cape. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. Northward of Napier and New Plymouth the barometer has fallen slowly, but it has risen slowly elsewhere.
