The market rate of discount for best three months' bills is 1-16 lowei'j at 2 7-16 per cent. The Bank of England raie is 6 per cent., as against 3i per cent, /on 21st April and 4 per cent, on 14th April. COLONIAL AND OTHER PRODUCE. Wheat. — The markets are dull and in buyers' favour, owing to heavy shipments fiom Russia and India and the increassod estimates of the spring crops in America and Canada. Cargoes are neglected; those near at hand are offering at 32s 6d to 335; September-October shipment, 34s 6d per quarter. Flour lias relapsed owing 'to heavy supplies. The value in London is 25s 6d to 265 ; at Glasgow, 27s 3d to 28s. Oats. — Parcels of Algerian on passage are quoted at 14s 3d. New Zealand beans, 29s to 30s; Victorian peas, 26s 6d. The American visible supply of wheat east of the Rookies is estimated at 39,985,000 bushels. Sugar is slow of sale. German beet, 88deg., Us Id, and first marks, f.o.b. Hamburg, at 12s lOd per cwt. Butter 's quiet. Danish, unchanged ; choicest Viotonan, 104s to 106s ; New South Wales, 100s to 104s; Queensland, 88s to 84s; best stored New Zealand, 96s por cwt. Rabbits are dull. Victorian and New South Wales are quoted at 7id. Bradford Tops.— The market is quiet, with small business passing. Merino descriptions are weaker, but crossbreda are firm. Common 60's, 23£ d, and super 60's, 24±d per lb. THE METAL MARKETS. Copper. Spot, £60 6s 3d per ton ; three months, £60 10s per tou Tin.— Spot, £131 17s 6d per ton; three months, £ldO 5s per ton. Messrs. Abraham and "Williams report as follows:— At Palmerston on Thursday an average yarding came forward. Young oattle were in slightly better demand, and a few pens of fat bullocks sold readily. Female stock' was not in request, and most lots were turned out unsold. All the sheep sold readily under the hammer.
