AUCKLAND HOSPITAL THE COMMISSION OF ENQUIRY.
[m TELEOBAPH— PEESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, 20th October. At the Hospital Commission to-day the most important evidence was that of Dr? Savage, who examined the exhumed remains of Wattis White last month under directions from the Government. His evidence was in conflict in several particulars with the report furnished on the same subject by Dr. Bedford to the Hospital Board. Dr. Savage explained, however, that Dr. Bedford nad not the same opportunities of making a minute examination as himself. It was stated that Dr. Bedford would be called later | on to give evidence in regard ' to his report. Dr. Savage .expressed dissent j from the method of operation followed in White's case, but said that the error made in the diagnosis was one often made by expert surgeons. He agreed to give a demonstration of the specimens taken from the exhumed body.
