For the North Otago Jockey Club's races there was fine weather and a good attendance. The sum of £1755 went through the totalisator. Results : — Spring Handicap, of 40 soys ; four furlongs. — King Dick 1, Master Alex 2, Merrymaker 3. Nine started. Won by half a length. Time, 50£ sec. Dividends, £16 and 15s. Elderalie Trot, of 45 soys ; two miles.— Two Up 1, Dora M. 2, R.J.S. 3. Nine started. Won by 150 yards. Time, smin 23sec. Dividends, £4 2s and £3 Bs. Members' Handicap, of 40 soys; six furlongs. — Prince Louis 1, Muscovite 2, Flower'-o'-Clutha 3. The only starters. Won by two lengths after a great race. Time, imin 17£ sec. Dividend, £5. North Otago Cup, of 76 soys ; one mile and a quarter and seventy-seven yards.— De la Rey 1, Calibre 2, Secret Society 3. Buluwayo also started. Won by a .short length after a good race. Time, 2min lbisec. Dividend, £3 16s. Hack Scurry, of 20 siovs ; four furlongs. —Merrymaker 1, Stepaside 2, Sid 3. Eight started. Won by a short neck. Time, 51* sec. Dividends, £2 8s and 18s. Red Castle Welter, of 45 soys ; seven furlongs.— Mangees 1, Quagga 2, Carlo 3. Seven starters. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, lmin S34sec. Divi* dends, £2 10s and 16s. Tokarahi Trot, of 35 soys ; one mile and a. quarter and seventy-seven yards. — Cinders 1, Idas Child 2, R.J.S. 3. Fourteen Parted. Won by half a dozen lengths. Time, 3min 22sec. ' Dividend, £7 16s. The first and second horses were bracket- ! cd. Flying Handicap, of 50 soys ; five furlongs.— Petrovna 1, Zetland 2, Master Alex 3. Seven starters. Wop comfortably by a length and a half. Time, lmin 4ip>c. Dividends, £5 16s and 16s.
