HUTT VALLEY GUN CLUB.
There was a good attendance at the Hutt Valley Gun Club's meeting at Petone yesterday. The weather in tne morning was muggy, but in the afternoon a breeze sprang up and the birds rose free ly. The handicaps were framed by Mr. C. H. Chavannes. Mr. L. Price acted as referee, Mr. W. J. Adnams was Secretary and his wife officiated at tlje /scoring table. In the £100 Pigeon Match S. V. Burridge, Petone (234 yds), L. M'Kelvie, Bulls (23yds), and L. Bayly, Wanganui (26yds) killed all their birds in each nomination, and each won £15 7s Bd. C. Tucker, Wanganui (26yds), L. Bayley, Wanganui (26yds), Joseph Oates, Carterton (24yds) C. Buckingham, Hutt (24yds), W. G. Hart, Waikanae (26yds), and H. Willis, , Featherston (22yds)-, killed all their birda in one nomination and each received £7 13s lOd. A sweepstakes (£1 entrance) -was fired at the conclusion of the £100 match. " There were 21 competitors. L. ,Baylev and L. M'Kelvie divided first and 6econd prizes, each taking £9. The remaining £3 wae divided by five other competitions.
