FINES FOR SUNDAY.
[dt tbibcbaph— mass association.] INVERCARGILL, This Day. At the Magistrate's Court to-day Henry Powell, licensee of the Wallacetown Hotel, was fined £6, including cost*, arid two endorsement* were recorded on the license, for Sunday trading and permitting drunkenness on hi* premises. There wero twelve informations in all, cloven being for selling drink to different per* sons. Defendant pleaded Guilty, and the other information* were withdrawn. The Magistrate remarked that ohe case showed the necessity for making it punishable for person* to be on licensed premises during prohibited hours.
