It speaks Well for the coivf mercial morality of the city that the excellent dividend to bo refunded was kept so close a secret that there had beau absolutely uo trafliciug in the company's shares. I know of oue shareholder, arid a journalist to boot,, who would have readily quitted his shares 24 hours ago for a mere souy. The Cardrona Valley Company contemplates goiug into liquidation, and selliug its pontoons and machinery.
