[FBBSS ASSOCIATION.] ADELAIDE, 11th April. The New Zealand Federation Commission sat all day at Parliament House. Evidence was given concerning the conditions of the manufacturing and agricultural interests ; the probable effect of interstate freetrade on those industries ; and a possible market for New Zealand products in South Australia and for South Australian products in New Zealand if duties were abolished. Representatives of manufacturing industries almost unanimously 'considered that federation would be beneficial in opening up. wider markets. (Received * April 12, 9.55 a.m.) ADELAIDE, This Day. Mr. Millar, M.H.R., member of the New Zealand Federal Commission, left yesterday afternoon for Melbourne, where he will inspeot several factories. He will "then go on to Newcastle, rojoining the Commission at Sydney. ~ The Commission will take further evidence <o-day, and will leave in the afternoon for Melbourne, where Sir John Forrest will be examined on Saturday. The Right Hon. G. H. Reid and the Hon. J. Want will give evidence at Sydney on Tuesday, and ' the Commis.sion, will leave for Brisbane on the following day.
