THE BUBONIC PLAGUE.
[press association.] LONDON, 11th April. A member of tho Sixth New South Wales Contingent, which recently arrived at Capetown, has contracted plague. THE MORTALITY AT CAPETOWN. (Received April 12, 9.21 a.m.) LONDON, 11th April. There have been 336 cases of plague at Capetown, including 85 Europeans, and 135 cases have proved fatal. FIRE IN A HOTEL. TWO MEN BURNT TO DEATH. Xprkss association.] SYDNEY Jllth April. The Prince, of Wales Hotel at Nowra was destroyed by firo. Two men named Wilford, father and son, perished in the flames. Another person broke a leg jumping from the balcony. Several of the inmates had narrow escapes, only getting out of the burning building in their night clothes.
