AUCKLAND, 10th November. The sum of £8073 passed through the totalisator for the day. La Gloria, who scored in the big event yesterday, added to her success by running home an easy winner in the City Handicap. Nonette, who accounted for the Welcome Stakes on the opening day, beat a field of ten in the Musket Stakes with ease, and , Cannongate's maiden effort over country in the Steeplechase was a successful one The black son of Cannon made a runaway race of the event. The additional results are : — Musket Stakes, of 200 soys; four furlongs. — Mr. J. T. Ryan's Nonette, by Seaton Delaval— Charante, 9st 101b (Ryan), 1; Kissaline, 7st lllb, 2; Rattler, 7st, 3. Also started — Maroon and Gold Bst 71b, Sparkling Water Bst 71b, Liquidator Bst 41b, Scotty Bst 41b, Real Blue Bst, Despatch 7st, Gatelock 7st. At the main stand it looked as if anything was in it, but Nonet'te, drawing out, scored by a good length. Rattler was the same distance, away third, and Liquidator fourth. -Time, 51 3-ssec. St. Ursula was momentarily prominent at a capital start, but passing the stand Beddington and Coronet were together in the van a length in front of The Needle, Blue Jacket, and St. Ursula. Along the bottom turn and through the cutting 'the paii* were still racing in the lead, but as they drew up to the half-mile ,post La Gloria was seen to be making her way through. As the straight was entered the favourite was on terms with the leaders, and drawing out as the stand was passed, scored comfortably by a couple of lengths. Time, 2min 11 4-ssec.
