A.&T.BURTL™ WELLINGTON. STEAM SPECIALITIES? \ FAIRBANKS' Y\ ■**■• RENEWABLE VULCANISED AJ • ASBESTOS DISO GLOBE VALVES. TpAIRBANKS' VALVES are distinot -1? from any othors. Thousands in use, and, owing to tho popularity, of this make, many info riot 1 - and obsolote valves havo come upon the market. Therefore, ask for FAIRBANKS', and take no other. Those Valves are so constructed that the usual defoots known to exist in Globe Valvos are eliminated. They aro provided with Vulcanised Asbestos Disc Kings. The Ring is composed of the fibre of Asbestos, to which is added, by patented process, waterproof vulcanising material, making a very durable packing, whioh will not crack or flake off. It is held central on its seat by guides cast ou the body of the valve. It is also secured to the spindle without the use of nuts, screws, pins, wires, or anything that is liable to become detached' while in uso. The Vulcanised Asbestos Ring is forced into a brass holder, and tho metal is spun or turned over the edges of tho ring, &o it cannot drop out. Tho Diso consists of ring and brass holder complete, ready for use, aud can be put into the valve by simply removing the bonnet, slipping the old diso from end of spindle, substituting now one, and roplaoing bonnet ; the wholo operation requiring only a t few moments' time and no ski}]. These Valves havo a raised round seat upon whioh saale, grit, or sediment is less likoly to lodge than on tho broad, flat seats commonly used. The Stuffing Boxes are all packed with Braided Round Asbestos Packing, whioh is very durable, and cannot be blown or washed out.
