WBATHEB FORECAST FOR 24 HOtJBS FROM Bi.M. TO-DAY. Wink- Heavy gale from northward at all places north of Ljfttelton and Hokftika ; gale from between west and south-west and south at all other places Bauometer— Fall everywhere, but rising south of Timaru and Queenstown after ten hours Sea — Heavy ou all western coast and on east coast between Napier and Lyttelton TidWS— Very high on all western coast ; high on east coast southward of Castlepoint; moderate elsewhere Rain is to be expected in all parts of tha country SYNOPSIS Or I.A.ST 24 HOURS. Decreasing pressure generally, but especially Boutkward of Kaikoura and Hokitika. TJie wealher has been generally fine, with strong westerly winds.
