♦ | PRESS ASSOCIATION. | LONDON, 23rd December. Twelve thousand quarters of South Australian wheat, January shipment, have been sold at 28s 3d. Frozen meat quotations are unohanged. The hemp market is firm, but tho high prices are checking business. There is good demand for hides. Sydney, s}d to s|d ; Queensland, s|d to 5Jd. Leather and basils arc in short supply, aud there is a strong demand.
