* THE FRANCO-BRITISH FRICTION IN WEST AFRICA. « THE EJECTION OP THE FRENCH FROM KISHI. [PBESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received May 31, 9.15 a.m.) London, 30th May. It was reported a fortnight ago tUat the French had evacuated Kishi, a town to which thej had laid claim on the western side of the Niger, situated on the Oth parallel oE north lattitude, some 60 miles from the river, to the south-west of Bajibo. Details now received state that the natives became discontented and ejected the small French garrison, and the British force in the neighbourhood then occupied the place. The French are now stationed in the vicinity, and have protested.
