THE following resolution was passed by the Wellington City Council at a Special Meeting held on Monday, the 13th December, at 7.30 p.m., viz. -.— That the present northern boundary of the triangular piece of land between tho junction of Lambton-quay and Customhouse - quay, south of the Bank of New 'Zealand promises, be altered by acquiring from the Bank of New Zealand the triangular pieco of the Bank's land coloured red and marked B.F.E. on plan deposited in the Town Clerk's office and signed by the Town Clerk. Such triangular piece to become part of Lambtonquay and Customhouse-quay. And that upon such acquisition as aforesaid the triangular pieco of Lambton and Customhouse quays, coloured green and marked A.F.D. on the said plan, will be no longer required for public use. And the Council agrees to sell the samo to the Bank, as the owner of the adjoining land, at a price to be fixed by James Ames, of the City of Wellington, Valuator, who is hore'by appointed by the Counoilfor that purpose. And it is further resolved that the price of the triangular piece to bo sold to the Bank as aforesaid may be sot ofl against the value of the triangular piece to bo acquired by tho Corporation unless the said James Ames shall certify that there is a substantial difference in value. Notice is hereby further given that the said resolution will bo aubmitted for confirmation at tho ordinary meeting of the Council to bo hold at tho City Council Chambers on THURSDAY, tho 13th day ol January, 1898, at 7.30 pm.
