It ha 9 been arranged that Captain Evans, of the ship Taranaki, which vessel is now moored in the stream, will take charge of the ship Nelson for the run froni Wellington to Dunedin. Early this morning the Hesketh sailed for Groy month to load back coal to Wellington for the steamer Kaikoura. Arrangements hare been made to despatch the Gothic to Napier this afternoon. The Delphic, which left Lyttelton early this morning, will take in a quantity of wool, &c, at this port, alter which she goes on to Napier and returns again to Wellington. The signalmen at Farewell Spit have reported that the barque Barossa, from Adelaide en route to Picton, where she is to load for London under the auspices of the Freights Reduction Committee, passed there at 5.30 pm yesterday. Her captain signalled for a tug and a pilot to be sent out to meet the vessel. As the Duco went up alongside the Takapum after the latter had beeu launched from the Patent Slip yesterday, the stern of the larger boat swung round and struck the tender amidships on the starboard side, smashing and twisting the iron stanchions which support the bridge. Messrs W. Cable and Co have in hand the repairs, which should be completed on Monday. The damage to the Takapuna was trifling. It is understood that Caotain Abram, of the Hawea, is in charge of the Hauroto, Captain Beaumont having been compelled to stay behind for private business. Captain Beauniont, who will bring the Hawea on to Auckland from Fiji, will ultimately rejoin his vessel in the northern port.
