DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION.
A certain noble lord, who shall be nameless, during his journey North on a political mission, changed his costume in the train for a full Highland • rigout,' intending 'it as a delicate compliment to the land of the kilt. But when he looked in the glass he found that the tailor had out his kilt a little too short ; so he made up his mind to put on evening dross. He changed his upper garments, and then sat down for a few momentß to study his speeoh. This sent him to sleep. He awoke with a start to find that the train was running into the station. Forgetting what had happened, he thrust on his hat, and appeared at the window bowing, and this is how he was dressed: —
