Captain Russell, Mr. Rolleston, and a large number of other legislators, their friends, press representatives, and the public, arrived in Woodville at 2 p.m. The weather is splendid. Excursion trains also arrived from Napier and Palmerston. Woodville is filled with strangers for the opening ceremony. His Excellency the Governor is also present, and the town is en f&te. When the train was stopped the damaged van was left behind.
