SUICIDE OF A VICTORIAN EX-OFFICIAL. % [PBEBS ASSOCIATION.] Melboubne, 9th December. Mr. Robert Gudemau, ex-Under Treasurer, hanged himself while suffering from melancholia. 10th December. A letter has been received from a firm in Bombay, stating that the Indian Government intends calling for tenders for supplies of Australian frozen produce for the army and navy, and enquiring the terms on which the shipping companies will be induced to make Bombay the port of call, and the cost of landing produce at Indian ports. Gargurovilch, paced by triplets, has established the world's grass cycling records from one to ten miles. He covered the mile in 2min 11 3-ssec, the five miles in llmin 39 l-ssec, and the 10 miles in 23inin 45 2-ssec.
