Galtee More (says Truth) will not start again until the Leger, and his only engagement after Donoaster is in the Sandown Foal Stakes of £2000, which is run during the week between the Newmarket Second October and Houghton meetings. His only summer engagements (the ones whioh he will miss) are at Liverpool and at Stockton. It was at Aintree last July that Mr. Gubbins's horse sustained his only defeat, when he ran a dead heat with Glencally (to whom he was giving 81b) for the Great Lancashire Breeders' Produce Stakes, the pair being beaten a short head by Brigg, who had 2lb the best of the weights with tho Derby winner. Galtee More will not 'spoil' next year's £10,000 races, as he does not happen to have been entered for any of them. His only engagement for 1898 is the Champion Stakes at Newmarket.
