COMMERCIAL & FINANCIAL.
4 Evening Post Office, Monday. Messrs. A. G. Tamo & Co. report of their horae sale on Saturday : — "Very few horses of any class came forward, and bidding was none too brisk. Doubtless the sale to come off at Manukau on Wednesday, 9th, kept many from bidding, as we have a large number of gqod horses coming forward for that sale. The sales, all things considered, wero pretty numerous considering the class. We had only one draught entered, which was sold at .620, and a demand for moro. Hacks and ponies were almost unsaleable. Harness horses, all aged, sold up to .£l2, and wo passed a very fino horse at £17. Light harness sorts, aged and woody, brought from £i to JC6. There was really no good saleable material to work upon. [press association.] London, 4th December. The cheese ex Aotea, from New Zealand, arrived in excellent condition, and is realising 46b per owt.
