Foresters' District Meeting.
♦ The greater portion of the busineaa of the meeting yesterday was of a routine charao ter. The following were elected to the varioui offices for the ensuing year :— D.C.R., Bro P. M'Cumiskey ; D.S.C.R., Bro. C. F. Worth D. Treasurer, Bro. H. Biroh (re-elected) 1). Secretary, Bro. A. Whiteford ; D.B. Uro. B. E. Harman ; District Auditors Bros. King (Conrt 4926), A. Henley (Couri 4128), and T. G Kershaw (Court 7609). Bro. P. Flauvel, formerly of Wellington was presented by Court Lady Glasgow witt ■i framed photograph of the first offioers o! iho court, in recognition of bis services ii promoting the court. On adjourning after 9 o'olook the dele rrates were entertained at a banquet by the Wellington brethren in the Tory-street hall I'ho District Chief Ranger (Bro. P. M'Cumiskey) occupied the ohair, anc was supported by Bro. Skeno, P.D.C.K. md Bro C F. Worth, D.S.C R. Among the visitore were Messrs. Mason (Registrar ol Friendly Societies), F. Wills (Grand Mastei of tho American Order of Oddfellows), llylapd (Hiborrii;inß), Gaudier (Rcchabite--) Hipginbottom (hritish United Order of Odd^ fellow*), J. Smith (Manchester Unity Ordei '•f Oddfellows), and Jenninga (Order oi Druids). The h<»ll was prettily decorated with flags kindly lent for tho occasion by the captain of the s p. lonic, and an excellent supper was provided by Mr. &, Mawson 'I he toast list was an follows. — ' '1 ho Queen," and " Tho Governor," pro> pohedby tho Chairman; "Ihe Parliament of New Zealand," proposed by Bro; C. Webber, responded to by Bros F. Wills, J. Smith, jun , and VV. Hig.-in-bottom ; " Tha District TrußteoV proposed by Bro. Tuekey, and responded to hy Bros Foloy, Harmati, and White- ; " Ketirinr District Oaioera," proposed by Bro. tlarman, and responded to by Bro ?T ken » c ,. : ,," The Ladieß ." proposed by Bro. H. MiUh, and replied to by Bro H Birch; "The Catering rommitteo." prol posed by Bro. Nesbitt, and responded to by Bro Newall; and '"ihe Press." proposed by Bro. J. N. Worth Songs vero sun? by Bros. Webber. Skone, Adamß, Campbell, Fredericks, and others, Mr. W. Smith play mg tho accompaniemonts as well as several seleotioiiß. 'Ihe arrangments were carried out by a committee, of which Bro. C. Hayes was chairman.
