A motion has heen adopted in the Legislative Assembly to allow the Loan and Workß Bills to pass all their stages at one bitting. The House is now debating the second reading of the Bill to amend the Electoral Act by reduoing the residenoe qualification of eleotors from three months to one month. In the Legislative Counoil Mr. Want, Attorney-General, explained that the Government did not intend to take any more business than was absolutely necessary. Mr. Pilcher gave notice to introduce a Bill to amend the Constitntion of the Counoil. Mr. Want stated that wMle any Bill to reform the Conncil would have to be introduced in tbat Chamber, Ministers wonld not allow the matter to be taken out of their hands or introduced by a private member.
