* [Bt Txlcgbapb.i (united pbxss association. l Napibb, This Dat. The safe removed from the Hastings Post Office on Friday night has been fonnd in a ploughed paddock at Longlands, on the Maraekakaho-road, abont three and a half miles from Hastings. The express has been discovered near the raceconrße, which was, perhaps, as far as the perpetrators could get it, ad the kiqg bolt was broken. There were some chisel marks on the joints, and an entrance to the safe seemß to have been effected by cutting two plates of iron at the bottom. What contents there were had been abstracted. The burglars most have had an idea that the Land Tax was paid in on Friday, but as the money (nearly £1500) was not left in the safe, they did not make such a big haul as was probably anticipated,
