MABTEETON, THIS DAT. The jury at the enquiry into the oironmstances under which Williams and Beetham's house at V/aingawa was destroyed by fire returned a verdict that there was no evidence to show how or by what means the fire occurred. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association intends erecting commodious brick premises at Pahiatua. A consignment of 10,000 brown trout ova, being a portion of a large order, was sent from the local fishponds to Tarauaki to-day. Only one bankruptcy has been recorded in the Wairarapa during the past month. Two inches of rain fell in Masterton during August, on 13 days.
