BURGLARY AT MENINDIE.
(S.A. Register.) For tho past thirty-seven yoars the Hon. 'f. C. Walker, M.P., has rosidod at "The Uriara," Menindie, in fancied security from f he enterprising hnrglar ; but on "aturday lie and his family hod thoir confidenue rndely ilisturbed by discovering that the mansion had been broken into on Friday night, and a •luantity of valuable jewellory and a large sum of money stolen A representative of the Register called on Mr. Walker, who showed him over the scene of the burglar's operations, and Baid :— " Early this morning my housekeeper called mo, and asked if I had taken my watch down, as it was not in its usual place. The wiadow of my dressing'oom was open, and on examination I disoovercd that a gold watch, worth eovonty irnineaa, had disappeared, also a Waterbnry Watoh whioh I keep to oheok the other by.
