The Petone Navai Artillery havo held the final competition for the Company Championship. Lieut Kirk pulled off tho prizo, with the score of 454, L.S. Holmes being second with 442. Lieut. Kirk wins the gold medal and holds the handsome championship shield presented to the company by Mr. S. Kobn The following are the scores :—: — A CLA.es.

The weekly parade of tho City Rifles took place last evening There were presentthree sergeants, two corporals, and 30 men, uuder Captain Collins, with whom was Lieut. W. G. Duthie. The men were exercised in the cew infantry drill, half-company and section movements, arm drill, sword-bayonet exercise, Ac, and divided into squads for drill by the non-commissioned officers. The corpß will attend at the cadet range next Saturday for the first period of class firing. On Monday next Lieut. -Col. Ne wall will hold his monthly inspection of the corps, when every man is expected to be present. The contractor is now pushing on with the new uniform, and it ia to be hoped all will be supplied within a lnoi.th.
