THE JUNIOR CUP. Tho final matoh for the Junior Cup between the Star and Wellington College Clubs was concluded on Saturday, ending in a win for the Stars by an innings and 50 runs. The Stars oompiled 152 runs in their first innings, Page adding 8 to his 64 of the previous Saturday, and Green scoring 17, not out. The College, with 108 to make to save an innings' defoat, sont in 800 and "Wilson, who stonewalled for an hour, only making 24 between them. This was the only stand of the innings, bnt Tripo and M'Govern stole a number ot very sharp runs. The innings closed for 57 (Bee 17). Mr. Firth was absent, owing to family bereavement. For the Stars, M' Bain (4 for 16) and Warren (3 for 13) bowled best. Bjr thoir viotory on Saturday tho Stars retain the Junior Cup for the prosent season. Their performance is a first-class one, seeing that the season just conoluded iB the first the olnb has entered for the Junior Cup. Howe heads the list for the batting average with 17*5, closely followed by Lucena, 16"4, and Page, 162. Of the bowling averages, Warren oomes out on top with the splendid figures of 4*l, and on his performance this season he oan fairly lay olaim to be considered one of the best junior trundlers in the city. A matoh was played on Saturday between f.ho Palaco and Tailors' Clubs, tho former winning by 50 runs on tho first innings. Clio Palace made 119 and tho Tailors 69. M'Cleary (27), Nolan (13). Dagg (15), and fiOHlio (16) batted boßt for tho Palace, as did ICoir (29) and Donnis (10) for the Tailors.
