She was travelling from Sydney with no oscort, and had with her a child three niontha old. Apparently Bhe had no friends here. Tho day after her arrival Mrs. Claire was so unwell that Dr. Bealo was callod in by hor landlady. He found the patient weak, and Buffering from violent retching, vomiting, and diarrhoea. She stated that she was a married woman. Tho medical men wer* aware that she was suffering from internal inflammation, but wero at a loss to know how it had been causod. Mrs. Claire died this morning, and as Dr. Boalo does not sco his way to furnish a certificate of death, tho matter has beon reported to the Coroner.
