RE CO-OPERATIVE MOVEMENT.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir—l am quite proud of the interest taken in the above by your readers. I should like them to go a little further and add wood and cool yard, also milk (dairy), with bakery, which would pay a good dividend to the shareholders. " Observer " does not seem to understand the principles of the movement. The object is to raise tho masses of the people by combination, and if a majority decide, to trade for their own benefit, whioh in this case would be a. great gain to the members. Ab I do not wish to encroach on your valuable space, I will only give one society from tho Old Country— Walkerbnrn bakery paid 3s lljd in the £ dividend. Why not do likewise here? If the people would only wait this result would follow, then the movament would soon have fiß firm hold as in the Old Countvj. I am, &c, Co-operator. Newtown, sth April.
