AQUATICS.

Two heats of tho Star Boating Club's Senior Pairs were got off last evening. In the first A. G. Hume and H. Palmer beat H. J. M'Loan and C. W. Palmer, and in the second R. W. Wallace and E. L. Rurnes defeated G. F. Johnstoneand E. W. O. Strange. Both wore easy victories. The final beat — A. G. Hume and H, Paimer v, R. W. Wallace and E. L Burnes— will take place at the earliest opportunity. A further beat of the Chisholm Double Sculls, Oriental Boating Club, was rowed last evening, when J. C. Freeth (bow), W. Oleeson (stroke), and E. J. Rrad (cox) defnatod W. Townsend (bow), W. Spencer (stroke), and O. Jones (cox) by half a length, after a very close race.
