The New Zealand Land Association has received the following London market cable, dated yesterday :— Frozen meats— Mutton market weaker. Canterbury and Wellington mutton is respectively worth 4}d and 4fd per lb. Lamb market weak. Prime New Zealand lambs are worth per carcase 5Jd per lb. Tallow is dull of Bale. Fine mutton and good beef tallows are worth respectively 26s 3d and 24s 9d per cwt. The Union Steam Ship Company has decided to run the 8 a. Ovalau between Fiji and Auckland, and probably on to Wellington, thus providing a fortnightly service in conjunction with the s.s. 'J'aviuni. This will commence with the opening of the sugar season, about the end of May. The local agents have been advised by cable that the ship Oamaru is loading at London for Wellington, and is expected to sail at the end of the present month.
