The library which tho late Professor Pond has bequeathed to the Auckland University College is a very valuable one, and if the books had to be purchased would represent from £750 to w£lOoO. It contains a fine col. lection of English olassics of all periods. Steps are being taken to suitably house and catalogue the library.
