The following ia the re3ult of the local option poll for tho Maraden Liconsing District : — Publicans' licenses — Continuance, 235 ; reduction, 72 ; no licenses, 248. The total number of votes recorded was 583, the number of men being 430, and of womon 53. Tho poll is void. The Bnller looal option poll was as follows :— Licenses to remain as at present, 767 ; rodnction, 180 ; no licenses, 584 ; informal, 392. The Botnrning Officer, counting the informal votes, declared that a majority of the electors had recorded their votes, but that as an absolute majority of tho total number of votes recorded bad not been given in favour of any one of tho proposals, none of them was carried
