TEMPERANCE COLUMN. TEMPERANCE MAYORS.
That firm Temperance principles aro uo lougor a barrier to advaucement in English municipal life is again shown by the recent Mayoral elections in England and Wales. Up to the time of writing, 43 instances of total-abstaining mayors now elected have been reported.
