That Iho Company may from time to time enter into any contract with any person for lighting by means of electricity or supplying with electrical energy any publio or private buildings or for providing any person with j pipes service mains transformers accumulators conductors burners meters and lamps and for the repair thereof and may also from time to time enter into any contract with the Mayor and Corperation of Wellington or the City Counoil thereof or other persons or body corporate having the control of any ol" tho streets and roads within the limits aforesaid lor lighting the same or any of them by means of electricity or for supplying them with electrical energy and for providing Buch Mayor and Corporation City Council persons or body oorporate with lamps lamp posts burners and pipos mains transformers accumulators or conductors for such purpose and for the repairs thereof in such manner and upon such terms as shall bo agreed upon between the Company and the said Mayor and Corporation City Council or other persons or body corporate and tbe maximum charge to bo mado for the actual amount of energy supplied to any consumer or for the electrical quantity contained in any Buch supply Bhall be at or according to tho rates specified in the Act or in tho schedules thereto. That the Company may let for hire any meter for ascertaining the quantity ot electrioal current or electrical energy consumed absorbed or supplied and also any electrical fittings including transformers for altering tension and accumulators for storing the energy for such remuneration in money as shall be agreed . upon between tbe Company nnd any person to whom tho same may be bo let and such remuneration shall be recoverable in the same manner as the rents or sums due to the Company for electrical energy supplied and such meters and fittings ?hall not be subject to distress for rent of tho premises where the same may be used nor to be taken in execution under any process or proceeding of a Court of Law or Equity or iv bankruptcy against the person in whose pocßGßeion the fame may be. That the Clerk Engineer or other officer duly appointed for the pnrpose by the Couipan> may at all reasonable times enter any buildiug or nlace supplied by tho Company with vlectrii'nl energy in order to iiifpect tho mot"is fittings and transformers occumnla.tr.rs and othar instruments or things and for regulating the supply thereof supply there .f and fcr the purpose of ascertaining the quality ol current or energy consumed iibaorbed or fcuppliod and if aDy pert.on hinder such officer as aforesaid from entering aurl mnkin? such inspection as aforesaid at any reasonable time ho shall for every euch offence be liable to forfeit a som not exceeding five pounds That if any person bupplied with electrical current or energy neglect to pay the rent due for the same to the coirpnny the company may stop such current or energy from entering tho premises of such pereon by switching the same off or by euch means ap the company shall think fit and may recover the rent due from Bach person together with the expense of b.vitching off the current or energy and the costs of recovering tho rent by action in arjy Court of Law of competent jurisdiction. That in all cases in which tho Company are authorised to switch off and take away the supply of electrical current or energy from any house building or premises under the provisions of the Act tho Company their agents or workmen after giving forty-eight hours previous notice in writing to the occupier or if no occupier then after leaving snch notice on any portion of tbe premises may enter into snch house building or premises between tbe hours of nine m the forenoon and four in the afternoon and remove and carry away any mam switch— transformer accumulator meter fittings or other things being tho property of the Company. The Company may make bylaws or regulations provided tho Fame shall not be repugnant to this Act or to the Electric Lines Act 1884. or to tho Municipal Corporations Act lfeSß or to any atauilo-y amendment thereof or to any Road Board or County ! Conncil Aot of the General Assembly or to I any bylaw or regulation wbioh may now or hereafter be made thereunder respectively and may impose any peca'ty not exceeding the Bum ot .£5 for tho breach of any bjlaw or regulation of. the Company. The limits within which suoh works as aforesaid ure intended to be made and maintained extend to and iuclade tho City of Wellington.
