<• TO THE EDITOR. Sir— With refereuoe to Mr. Cottrell's romarks in last night's issue, re ten of his men returning to work on Wednoaday, will you kindly allow mo to state the foots of the oaso, as his statement may go forth and mislead the public and cause enmity amongst Union men. Mr. Cottrell had a large consignment of potatoes lyinjf at the railway station, and as ho was employing non-Union labour he conld not pet them from the station. Therefore to oblige him som« of hi 3 men turned to and carted them to his store, and this is tho way ho turns round and endeavours to mislead the public, and how discord among tho Unionists by saying ten of his men roturnod to work.
